Do I need any experience?
No. The Fixed Blade Course and the Biltong Knife Experience are both built for complete beginners. The Folding Knife Course is more technical, so we recommend completing a basic build first — ask on WhatsApp if you’re unsure whether you’re ready.

When do courses run?
There’s no fixed public schedule. Dates are arranged directly around your diary — message us on WhatsApp with a few dates that work for you and we’ll confirm availability.
Where is the workshop?

Do I keep the knife I make?
Yes — every course and the Biltong Knife Experience ends with you taking home a finished, working knife you built yourself.
Can I book the Biltong Knife Experience for a group or corporate event?
Yes, that’s exactly what it’s designed for. Message us with your group size and what you have in mind and we’ll put together an experience that fits.
Is there an online option?
Andre also runs an online, video-based folding knife course for those who’ve completed a basic build but can’t get to Klerksdorp in person. Ask on WhatsApp for details.
What should I wear or bring?
Closed-toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting a bit dusty are a good idea. All tools, materials and safety equipment for the course are provided — we’ll confirm anything specific once your date is booked.
